Our services

A little company.
A lot of difference.

Our befriending service brings friendship and conversation to older people who feel isolated or lonely.

Time for a chat

A befriending visit is about social connection: sharing a cup of tea, talking about your interests and enjoying someone’s company. It does not include housework or personal care.

Our original service offers a volunteer visit of around one hour a week. We take time to get to know each person so that we can match them with a volunteer who shares their interests.

How to arrange a visit

Call the centre to ask for a befriending application form. Once the form is returned, our team will discuss your needs and explain the next steps. Information shared during this process is treated confidentially.

Supported volunteers

Befriending volunteers are Garda vetted, reference checked and trained, with ongoing support from professional staff.
